After a tumultuous August, September comes in quietly this week. Retrograde Mercury will join the Sun in Virgo on September 3, allowing for deep inner reflection: We’ll see ourselves from a new perspective and perhaps be able to break through debilitating habits and patterns. Keeping a journal is a great way to enhance this time of self-discovery. Here’s how this transit will affect your baby:

Your Aquarius baby this week

The Sun and Mercury in quietly analytical Virgo feels like mud to sharp Aquarius, and he’ll need some encouragement this week. He’ll have to confront some skills that elude him, and his usual coping methods won’t work. Patience and practice are key, but once your little one knows it’s acceptable to take his time, he’ll feel great - and so will you.

Your Aquarius baby in 2010

Baby Aquarius is feeling a little out of the loop. The planetary energy is moving forward, and he doesn’t love the pressure it exerts. Aquarius likes to set the tone and do things his way, but this won’t be a good year for that. You’ll find yourself teaching the lesson of “going with the flow,” and he’ll rebel at times. Give your Aquarius toddler choices whenever it’s practical; it will help him feel in control.
